The Esk Angel was the piece that started it all. In 2025, while searching for Victorian clay pipes in the beck beneath the viaduct at low tide, a tiny porcelain Frozen Charlotte doll was discovered among the stones. There was something captivating about the little figure, and instead of becoming part of the original project, it inspired an entirely new creation. The doll became the centrepiece of a design, framed by a pair of wings handcrafted from pottery shards collected along the shoreline, transforming forgotten fragments of history into a unique work of art. The finished piece immediately captured people's imagination, and the enthusiasm it received became the inspiration to continue creating framed pottery designs. Looking back, the Esk Angel wasn't simply the first creation—it marked the beginning of a journey that has continued to grow ever since.This version keeps the ownership intentionally understated while making the discovery itself the heart of the story.
